I was
fifteen years old when I saw my first hand made quilt. It
was love at first sight. I had never sewn a stitch in my
life, but I just knew this was something I had to try. I
approached the quilter who had made the quilt that received
my adorations and asked her if she would teach me how to
quilt.
Yes was her answer and the quilter set up a lesson for my
older sister and me. My very first quilt lesson was an
eight-point star. I loved the process! My eight-point star
quilt block was finished into a cushion.
I had to have been definitely hooked, because back then
everything was done the hard way, no rotary cutters, mats,
disappearing ink markers, or fancy templates, and being just
a kid, I did not own a sewing machine, all of my quilting
projects were sewn by hand.
Twenty nines years later and I am still quilting and my love
of quilting has not wavered. Quilting has been and still is
a wonderful part of my life. I have enjoyed creating my own
designs for a number of years and with encouragement from my
sister and brother-in-law, I now promote and sell my own
line of quilt patterns.
My sister is such a blessing and inspiration. I love the
diva' patterns we've come up with together, the patterns
will always be special to me, because of our time together
working on them. Thank you Melanie for your support through
out my life. The new “Diva” quilt patterns are sure to
put a smile on anyone’s face.

When asked what is the inspiration behind my design work, I
answer love and laughter. It is a pleasure to offer you
quilting designs that can enhance and add the happiness of a
